"Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there near the water." (Exo 15:27)

Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days, they traveled in the desert without finding water. When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. Finally they came to Elim, where there were twelve sprints and seventy palm trees, and they camped there near the water. Elim was a resting place and an oasis in the desert. Until the whole Israelite community was well rested, then they set out continuing their journey into the Promised Land.

Lord Jesus chose twelve disciples and established twelve foundations (Rev 21:14). He also appointed "seventy" others and sent them out (Lk 10:1) to fulfill His Great Commission and to inherit the Land.

The Lord has entrusted Elim Bookstores a role of being soothing springs to this world, a spiritual desert and wilderness. Many of our staff also testified how their lives went through Marah, a land of bittered water, into the land of sweet springs. Therefore, we sincerely pray that, through our service, all dry and thirsty souls will be refreshed by the Spirit's living water and become His mighty army to inherit the Land.
